Who we Seek
We currently seek a Quality Assurance Analyst for our office in
Philadelphia, PA. This individual will be responsible for validating business simulation
applications and documentation. This position requires interaction with Project Managers,
Writers, Designers, Software Developers, and other team members to analyze requirements,
write test plans, test cases, validate findings, report errors and facilitate the production
of quality applications.
Responsibilities include
Quality Assurance (90% of the time)
- Serve as the Core Team member and Test Lead on internal and client driven projects
- Participate in the design and coding stages of the Software Development Cycle to identify possible defects as early as possible
- Develop and administer Master and Detailed test plans
- Report defects to the development community
- Validate software applications against design documentation, client specifications, and industry technological standards
- Review and aid in the publication of internal and external release documentation
- Clear applications for market release
- Able to handle a diverse workload and manage multiple tasks and priorities
Help Desk (10% of the time)
- Monitor the help desk phone and email
- Provide initial support to clients and colleagues for supported software
- Determine when to escalate a problem up
- Handle account creation for our web-based solutions
Ideal Candidates will have
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Systems Dynamics or Business
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience IT, background in Quality Assurance preferred
- Proven awareness of Quality Assurance and Software Testing Methodology
- Experience in the following technologies is a plus: Flash, HTML, JSP, Java, client/server, ASP, Windows O/S’s, browser technology
- A demonstrated ability to lead and work independently
- Strong organization, teamwork and communication skills are a must
- Some level of creativity is helpful
