Who we Seek

We currently seek an experienced learning program designer to create custom discovery-based learning solutions. As part of small teams, the learning designer must work well with internal team members in various roles and with external customers, many of whom are executives. The learning designer will also support sales activities led by account managers throughout the U.S. The ability to travel extensively is a requirement.

Responsibilities include
  • Create custom discovery-based learning solutions for specific clients
  • Adapt existing learning solutions to specific clients
  • Interview executives and others in client organizations to identify issues and needs
  • Travel with and support sales people on sales calls
  • Research industries, companies, and best practices
  • Write case studies, scenarios, and other materials that match the reality training participants experience in their jobs
  • Develop instructions for learning activities
  • Write facilitator guides, learning program design documents, and proposals
  • Participate in client meetings, document outcomes, and manage follow-up
  • Work collaboratively with team members to sell, develop, and deliver learning solutions
Ideal Candidates will have
  • Seven to ten years or more of work experience, including roles as manager and leader, experience at multiple companies, and experience participating in change initiatives
  • Two or more years of experience with discovery-based training design and development
  • Customer-centric attitude and experience working directly with external customers
  • Curiosity
  • Self-motivated mindset
  • Ability to conceptualize, generate, and articulate new ideas quickly
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Familiarity with the development of experiential/discovery-based training content
  • Communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and inspire instant confidence with executives
  • Project management and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent writing skills, delivering high quality work the first time with little oversight by editors
  • Alignment with BTS values
  • Willingness to travel (50% of time)
  • Our Scottsdale, AZ location is preferred, but not required
