Rommin Adl, executive vice president at BTS, was recently interviewed for an article around the release of a research report entitled Skills Mismatch: Business Acumen and Strategy Execution. Based on a survey of over 300 senior corporate leaders conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit, the research explores the relationship between business acumen and strategy execution. The piece was featured in the May edition of the ASTD newsletter.
In the article Rommin explains that if an organization does not fully understand how it thrives economically and how it delivers distinct value to the marketplace, then its performance will lack. This is where business acumen skills become essential. With practice, commitment, and a long term approach to business education, companies can achieve tangible increases in their businesses performance.
