Stanford University, BTS USA and former BEA Sys-tems Executives to Speak on Execution of Alliance Strategy

San Francisco, Calif. - BTS Group AB (publ), the global leader in accelerating strategic alignment and execution, today announced that BTS San Francisco General Manager and Executive Vice President, Dan Parisi, will be speaking at the Association for Strategic Alliance Professionals’ (ASAP) February 16 event "Execution of Alliance Strategy-Precision or Alchemy" at Stanford University from 5:30-8:30 pm. Parisi will appear on the panel with BEA Systems' former Senior Director Sales and Alliances Lane Nonnenberg; Stanford Professor Raymond Levitt, author of Executing Your Strategy – How to Break it Down and Get it Done, and moderator Jeff Ellis, managing partner at Startup Ramp, LLC.

About the Event: Execution of Alliance Strategy – Precision or Alchemy:

Strategy execution is as important as strategy development -- but is too often disconnected or given short shrift. Therefore, ASAP- Silicon Valley/Norcal Chapter has put together this high-power panel to give focus to the important and too often neglected topic. Attendees will gain insight into:

  • Practical approaches to strategy execution that leverage the whole organization
  • Identification of potential places where strategies fail
  • Discussion of alternatives and methods that can be key to doing the right things ‘right’
  • What you might do to improve strategy execution – to make it more straightforward and less frustrating

Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door, or $25 in advance or $30 at the door for ASAP members.


Dan Parisi, Executive Vice President, BTS USA
Mr. Parisi is a BTS Partner and the Managing Director of BTS San Francisco. BTS is fo-cused on delivery of simulation training tools to build commitment and capability to acceler-ate strategy execution and improve business results. Throughout his 15-year career at BTS, Dan has pioneered the application of customized strategy alignment business simulations for leading Fortune 500 clients such as Cisco, HP, Kimberly-Clark, NetApp, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments, and others.

Jeff Ellis, Managing Partner at Startup Ramp, LLC and Board Member, Rapid Legal, Inc.
Mr. Ellis is a 27-year veteran of the technology industry and has served as a CEO, COO, and VP Business Development for several venture and strategic partner-backed startups. He has also been a co-founder of a mobile computing company and held VP Business Development and other senior positions with public technology companies. He currently serves as Managing Partner of Startup Ramp, LLC, a consulting firm that works with emerg-ing businesses to take them to the next level, and also serves on the Board of Rapid Legal, an online court filing and legal support services company. Mr. Ellis’ industry experience spans Cloud Computing, Enterprise Software, Mobile, Wireless, Networking, and Computer technology sectors with various companies including Nsite, Extensity, and Tandem Computers.

Raymond Levitt, Stanford University Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering
Professor Levitt is the author of Executing Your Strategy—How to Break It Down and Get It Done. His research program at Stanford University develops theory, methods, and tools to design organization and governance arrangements for project and matrix organization structures in construction and other project-based industries. In addition, he holds roles as Director, Construction Program; Director, Collaborator for Research on Global Projects; Academic Director, Advanced Project Management Program, SCPD; and Senior Fellow, Woods Institute for the Environment. Dr. Levitt co-founded and has served as Chairman and Director of Design Power, Inc., Chairman and CEO of Vité Corporation, and Director of

Lane Nonnenberg, former Senior Director Sales and Alliances at BEA Systems, Inc.
Mr. Nonnenberg managed all aspects of BEA's alliances relationship with Hewlett Packard, including go-to-market initiatives, sales, platform positioning, services interaction, sales and services engagement models and field execution of the alliance relationship. Prior to joining BEA, he held senior executive alliance positions at HP. He holds degrees from the UCLA Graduate School of Management and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
